Triangle Pose

Triangle Pose is a great pose for improving digestion and for increasing flexibility in the spine, hips, shoulders, and chest.

Mantra: Smile and the world will smile with you.

**Remember to practice breathing deep breaths and see if you can hold each pose for 4-5 breaths, if you are comfortable doing so. Make sure to invite your grown-ups to watch you do the pose. You can also practice repeating one of Wuf Shanti’s Mantras while you do the pose because part of yoga is also to clear your mind and think happy thoughts. Most importantly, remember to have fun and be gentle with yourself!

  1. Standing in mountain pose, step your feet wide apart, and turn your right toes out.
  2. Keep both legs strong and straight, and raise your arms.
  3. Reach your right arm forward, bend at the hips, and place your hand on your shin.
  4. Extend your left arm to the sky and shine your heart to the sun.
  5. Repeat on the left leg.
