Next I spoke with Matthew Dewar, of Journey 30K. This is a really cool talk (he also has TedX talks you should listen to), and he believes (and he’s probably right) that time is our greatest resource, and it’s non-renewable, so we better start paying attention and living our best lives. This was my favorite quote because it really made me think about my own life. The average person lives for 30K days. What will you do with those days?
“Imagine a jar filled w/ 30K pebbles. When you woke up, you pulled a pebble out of the jar of your life. What are you going to do with it? When the day is over, that pebble is gone. It’s so important to value your most precious resource which is not renewable & that’s time.”
“The 1st step for #teens to reclaim well-being is to slow down. Parents/teachers need to slow down too. Young adults need to focus on prioritizing. Students think everything is urgent. You can’t live that way. What’s actually important & worth your time?”
