Mental Health Education Advocate, Adam Avin, of the Wuf Shanti Children's Wellness Foundation, releases new book, Stress Less: Mindfulness for Teens, with foreword by Udonis Haslem, 3x NBA Champion, Miami Heat.

Wuf Shanti creator Adam Avin

gives TedxTalk on Mindfulness in schools

Created by a kid for other kids, the Wuf Shanti Children’s Wellness Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, started with a little boy’s illustrations and his dream to make a difference in the world. His compassion inspired us to want to share his dog character, Wuf Shanti, with children across the planet in the hopes of guiding them down a path of peace and positivity. Wuf Shanti Children’s Wellness Foundation teaches mindfulness and social emotional learning, encouraging children to live in health and wellness. Through videos, books, a mobile app, music, fun, and games, children learn mindfulness, SEL, emotional intelligence, yoga, meditation, communication, inclusion, self-awareness, self-regulation, self-compassion, empathy, collaboration, positive thinking, and more. This helps them stay physically fit, mentally less stressed, able to cope with emotions, and interact with kindness. For tweens and teens, we offer the Kids Association for Mindfulness in Education, and the Mindful Kids Peace Summit.

Kids’ Association for Mindfulness in Education (KAME)

The Kids’ Association for Mindfulness in Education is a place where youth can come together to mindfully do good in the world and help get these mindful programs into schools across the country.  One of our missions is to get these mindful programs into all schools K-12, so if you’re interested in starting a KAME Club at your school, send us a note.
