WUF SHANTI VIDEOS TO BE ON FLORIDA PBS STATIONS

Wuf Shanti promotes health, wellness and happiness in children

FT LAUDERDALE July 1, 2017 – Wuf Shanti, a yogi dog character that promotes health, wellness and happiness in children through yoga, meditation, games, and music, will be on Florida PBS stations beginning in August. Each video has yoga lessons, mindful mantras, and wonderful music. Think like Barney or Elmo for yoga.

Wuf Shanti was created by now 13 year-old Adam for other kids, and the goal is to help children deal with emotions, live mindfully, be kind to one another, live in peace, and help children learn the influence and importance of positive thinking on health and success in life.

According to co-founder and CEO Marni Becker-Avin, Wuf Shanti’s intentions with this character are (1) to teach the next generation to live in peace & gratitude, spread kindness, alleviate stress, & deal with emotions in a productive ways so they grow up to be happier loving content adults, (2) to help children learn to think positively on a daily basis because science has shown that yoga, meditation, & positive thinking can help the healing process, and (3) to reach the kids when they are young in an effort to heal our planet.

“If children learn early how to live mindfully, deal with emotions in a productive manner, be inclusive, think well, and live in love and gratitude, then we will hopefully attain a more peaceful world where kindness abounds, and this is especially important right now with everything that is currently happening in our world,” said Becker-Avin.

Some exciting things have been happening for the Dog Yogi. The Children’s Television Network is distributing Wuf Shanti short videos to their children’s hospitals across the Nation. They only accept positive programming that can help the kids heal. Wuf Shanti opened the Walks for St. Jude Hospital on both coasts, and were invited to visit the kids at St. Jude in Memphis next week.  [Updated: To read about the St. Jude visit, click here: www.wufshanti.com/2017/07/wuf-shanti-visits-st-jude-childrens-hospital/] Adam’s passion for helping others led him to become one of the youngest certified yoga instructors in Florida and has inspired mainstream celebrities like Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and The Voice to post about Wuf Shanti on social media.  The 2nd-5th books are being illustrated, the show will be on Florida PBS stations beginning in August, & their free Mobile App, which has videos, music, and games, will be ready by August as well.

“We are so beyond grateful for everyone who has supported us and believes in our mission and shares our intentions,” said co-founder & President, Erika Lee.

Adam created Wuf Shanti in honor of his great-grandpa. They were very close, and when his Grandpa passed away, Adam wanted to pay forward Grandpa’s mantras: Think Well to Be Well, the positivity mantra, Smile and the World Will Smile With You, the kindness mantra, and Smile and Say Thank You, the gratitude mantra. “The Wuf Shanti Show teaches kids yoga, meditation, mantras and yogic-principles so we can teach the next generation to be kind to one another and make the world a better place,” said Adam.

Wuf Shanti is currently on a tour of Children’s Hospitals. If you are affiliated with a children’s hospital that you would like for us to visit, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] .
